Pipe Insulation

Ausico pipe insulation can be used on any piping system whether it is Copper, Plastic, Rehau, Fusiotherm or Aquatherm. A variety of products are available allowing you to choose the product that best fits your needs.

All grades of  thermal pipe insulation have similar performance in relation to operating temperature, thermal conductivity, non-toxicity and moisture absorption. Fire performance, noise attenuation, chemical resistance, size, wall thickness, availability and cost are factors which will usually lead to the selection of a specific grade of pipe insulation.

Foam Insulation

Ausico’s Foam products are flexible light-weight elastomeric materials suitable for thermal insulation acting as a vapour barrier that reduces water vapour transmission to practically zero. Aluminium foil has been laminated between two layers of Polyester film, thus preventing the ingress of vapour moisture, salt spray, corrosion, oxidization, chemical reactions, oils, greases, and other causticity damage. Used as the secondary vapour barrier in cryogenic applications. All products are available in tube, roll and sheet form and cover a wide range of thicknesses and diameters

Slit 2m lengths

Self seal – slit 2m lengths
•   Closed cell elastomeric thermal insulation. Pre-slit and pre-glued for fast installation.
•   Also known as Insul-Zip® and HotLock®.
•   Excellent for use on – chilled water pipes – refrigerant pipes – residential hot water pipes
•   Supplied in 2m lengths.

Conti-Coil (Continuous Coil)
•   Closed cell elastomeric thermal insulation.
•   Supplied in rolls for high volume users or where cut-to-length is required to minimise joins.
•   Excellent for use on – chilled water pipes – refrigerant pipes – residential hot water pipes.



Ausico offers a range of rockwool products specifically designed for applications up to 820oC. These products are used to insulate tanks, vessels and larger process equipment from energy loss and to provide personnel protection. Products are generally selected by the temperature of the application.

Ausico’s Rockwool sectional pipe insulation (SPI) products are specifically met for applications up to 650oC. These SPI products come in a variety of diameters and thicknesses to meet project design requirements and standard piping used in industrial processes.

Ausico offers a range of Fibremesh Rockwool products designed with galvanised or stainless steel mesh that is used to hold shape during and after installation. These products are used to insulate tanks, vessels and larger process equipment from energy loss.



Sectional Pipe Insulation (SPI) is manufactured from rigid glasswool pre-moulded into one-piece cylindrical sections. These sections are slit along one wall to allow the insulation to be opened and installed over piping.

The high density characteristic provides excellent compression resistance and enables the product to be used at service temperatures up to 340°C. A variety of factory-applied facings are available where extra protection of the outer surface or condensation control is required, including calico, aluminum foil and Sisalation® 450.

SPI is available in 1-metre lengths, faced or unfaced, and with a variety of wall thicknesses to suit standard steel pipes and copper tube from 12.7mm to 610mm O.D.


Expansion Joints


Ausico’s expansion joints provide a point of flexibility in flue ducts and relieve stress caused by system movement. The design parameters which influence the performance of any expansion joint for design analysis include:

• Movements
• Design / Operating Temperature
• Design / Operating Pressure
• Flue Gas Composition

Ausico’s expansion joints successfully accommodates operating factors that include:

• Absorption of Vibration or Shock

• Minor Misalignment of Ductwork

PTFE materials to produce quality flue duct expansion systems. Our state-of-the art PTFE material technology and excellent customer service provide unrivaled support for Ausico customers. Ausico’s diverse PTFE material technology can be applied in practically every expansion joint project. Major applications include flue gas desulphurization (FGD) and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) plants.

Insulation Jacketing


Insulation jacketing products are installed to control factors, such as heat gain or loss, on industrial process equipment. The materials used for the jacketing must be able to survive the industrial handling and thermal/chemical exposure seen in each particular application.

Ausico has sucessfuly developed a broad portfolio of materials for insulation jacketing applications. These are some of the materials we offer:

  • Coated PTFE/textile composites.
  • Coated silicone/textile composites.
  • Laminated PTFE/textile composites.
  • 100% PTFE laminates.

Removable insulation systems require high performance materials to sustain the long term insulation investment for the end user. Our complete line of PTFE and silicone materials, both fiberglass-based and laminate-based, provides the insulation industry with numerous choices for system engineering and design.
